Meet Hugo Castillo

Born in Tampico, on the Gulf Coast of Mexico, Hugo earned his degree from the University of Tamaulipas and was employed by the United Nations Organization in Mexico City for five years as a trainer in port development and operations.

Hugo met Jan, from Pennsylvania and they have been married fourteen years, they have four children. Thanks to Jan, Hugo gained insight into the Northern culture. "I love having the opportunity to be part of an International community!"

Jan and Hugo are starting their seventh year in Manzanillo. Hugo has lived and worked in six different port cities, including Cozumel. "But Manzanillo is where I plan to stay. It has beautiful scenery, a growing economy and a very low crime rate."
